Hayes Construction Company is happy to announce that we will be volunteering our time and talent for the second year to the “Stand to Honor” event which takes place at Calvert Hall College High School in Towson on September 13th, 14th, and 15th. Two weeks later, a similar event on September 28th at The Village at Waugh Chapel in Gambrills.

The Stand to Honor event benefits an incredible charity, Folds of Honor, which provides scholarships for the children/dependents of our fallen heroes.
As a main sponsor, Hayes Construction Company will shut down our jobs on Friday, September 6th in order to construct all 13 soldier platforms that will be used in the Stand to Honor event. Each platform will contain the boot prints of a fallen soldier and it is in these boot prints that willing participants will stand for 13 minutes. The significance of the number 13 represents the 13 folds of the American flag that is given to the families of the American hero.

We are asking that you partner with us in this endeavor to help make this a success. Please consider coming out to the event, donating $25 and standing for 13 minutes on one of the 13 platforms. There are approximately 1,800 “stand” spaces to fill over the course of the event. To participate please visit the Stand to Honor website:

Individuals can sign up for the time of their choice, or special “Stand Times” can be blocked out so that a company or group of individuals can all stand together. The “Standing” event will kick off on September 13th at 4:00 pm with an honor guard, introduction and singing of the National Anthem.
